Gil Stevens – DPW Superintendent

The Village of North Syracuse Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for maintaining the Village’s infrastructure and providing a wide range of essential services to residents.

Under the direction of Superintendent Gil Stevens, the DPW oversees vehicle and equipment maintenance for the Highway Department, Police Department, Fire Department, and Parks Department. Additional responsibilities include street and road repairs, sidewalk maintenance, park maintenance, bulk trash, brush and leaf collection, sewer and storm drain maintenance, snow plowing and road salting, sign repair and replacement, and tree maintenance services.

With more than 30 years of service, Gil brings an extensive knowledge of the community and its infrastructure and draws upon more than 25 years of experience in highway maintenance and heavy road construction. He currently supervises a staff of eight full-time employees 

In addition to his technical expertise, Gil has extensive experience in management and supervision, including budgeting, material procurement, project coordination, scheduling, and the day-to-day operations of the Department of Public Works. His leadership and dedication help ensure that Village services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
