The North Syracuse Police dept is requesting any interested youth age 5-15, to play “a-round” of disc golf with them.  This free event will be held on Saturday August 11th from 9-11am at Heritage Park. Pre-registration is required by July 27 by calling the police department at 315-458-5670. There will be contests for all ages and a free T-shirt for each child. Thank you to CNYDGA for helping to sponsor this event.

Thank You Team Depot

Many thanks go out to Steve Beardsley (Team Depot Captain) and fellow, staff members of Home Depot for volunteering their time upgrade the Heritage Park restrooms & building. New sinks, urinal, mirrors, wall coverings, and paint have really spruced up this building. These enhancements were much needed and greatly appreciated  – especially by the children and parks staff that utilize that space throughout the summer for the day camp program. Steve Beardsley assisted Parks Director, Teresa Roth with obtaining a grant from Home Depot so that all of the supplies were donated and volunteer helpers were provided for the installation. As part of the same grant, work was done earlier in the summer at the Lonergan Park storage building.
