Chief Chance Fieldson has served with the Village of North Syracuse Police Department since 2015.  Chief Fieldson began his law enforcement career in 2007 with the City of Oswego Police Department.  During his career, Chief Fieldson has served in various roles including both Patrol and Administrative Divisions.  He also served the Oswego City Police Special Response Team as a tactical operator.  Chief Fieldson has served as a field training officer, general topics instructor and grants administrator responsible for various state and federal grants.  Chief Fieldson holds a Bachelor of Science from State University of New York at Oswego and a Master of Arts from Liberty University.  Chief Fieldson is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, Central New York Chiefs of Police Association, Onondaga County Chapter of Chiefs of Police, and the National Tactical Officers Association.  Chief Fieldson is married and has three children.  In his free time, Chief Fieldson enjoys spending time with family and continuous self-improvement with an emphasis on leadership development.
