Be sure to mark your calendars and join us on Saturday, May 23rd for the 10th annual Family Festival. This will be held at Lonergan Park (located behind Stickley Furniture on Main Street) from 11:00am-5:00pm. There will be a variety of entertainment, crafts, and food to appeal to people of all ages. Festivities include entertainment by the Sandy Bigtree Band, Grit & Grace Band, Lori Ann Wilbur with a tribute to Patsey Kline and tunes by The Music Machine DJ. Other activities include a Caricature Artist, Horse Rides, Multiple Inflatables (giant slide, obstacle course, moon bounce), Dunk Tank, a pocket pet zoo, a kid's craft station, a Teddy Bear Parade, face painting, balloon sculptures, several food, & craft vendors, loads of raffle prizes (including a money machine with chances to go in and win cash) and more. Bring your family and friends for a day of fun. This event is open to the public and there is no admission charge. Hope to see you there!
May 25, 2015 –
Parade participants need to be at Lonergan Park at 8:30 am to line up. Parade begins at 9:00 am down Main Street to the Veteran's Memorial Park. Local groups & businesses encouraged to participate. Members of VFW Post 7290 will host a brief ceremony at Veteran's Park at the conclusion of the parade. There will be floats, marchers, a baton twirler, fire trucks, live singer of the Star Spangled Banner, and a dedication to our Veterans.
May 30, 2015 –
A certified instructor of the National Safe Boating Council will instruct this 8 hr course. To be held on Saturday, May 30th from 8:30am- 4:30pm at the Community Center. Boaters ages 10 and older are encouraged to sign-up for this course. Cost is $5 per person. Note: as of May 1, 2014 there was a new law requiring all boaters age 18 + to successfully complete an approved boater education course such as this.
